Tom Gordon, Liberal Democrat MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough, is inviting local
businesses to join him for a Budget Business Breakfast on Friday 28th November – a key
opportunity to share views on what the Chancellor’s Budget means for our community.

Organised in partnership with Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by
local firm Libertas Professional, the event will give businesses a platform to share their
views, raise concerns, and help shape the priorities Tom takes to Parliament.

Attendees will also hear from leading business experts who will break down the Budget and
explore its implications for the local economy, before opening the floor for question and
discussion.

Tom is encouraging as many local businesses as possible to attend, calling this is a critical
moment for our economy and a chance to ensure local voices are heard and understood.

Commenting, Tom said:

‘Local businesses have faced enormous challenges in recent years, and this Budget is a key
moment for our local economy.

‘I’m hosting this Budget Business Breakfast to make sure your voices are heard. I want to
understand what this Budget means for your future – your concerns, your priorities, and your
ideas.

‘That feedback will directly shape the work I do in Parliament as I stand up for Harrogate and
Knaresborough. I encourage every local business to join us for what promises to be an
informative and constrictive morning.’

Ian Howard of Libertas professional LLP said:

‘We are aware that many local businesses are awaiting the upcoming budget with trepidation
and uncertainty.
This is an opportunity for businesses to share their thoughts on how the measures that will
be announced on Thursday affect them, how they are planning to react and to hear from
some of the support that is available to help them navigate the impacts of the budget.’

Martin Mann, Chief Executive of Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce added:

'As a part of the business community for nearly 130 years, we welcome any opportunity to
help enable local businesses getting in the same room as our elected representatives, and
we are grateful to Tom for approaching us to make this happen.

We all know that this will be a difficult budget for many across the country and this meeting
will allow our voice to be heard in Parliament'.
