Tom Gordon MP on Prime Minister’s resignation: “This is just the latest in a string of disappointing leaders.”

Tom Gordon, the Liberal Democrat MP Harrogate and Knaresborough responded to the news that the Prime Minister has stepped down stating he is “this is just the latest in a string of disappointing leaders.”

Following Keir Starmer’s resignation as Prime Minister and Leader of the Labour Party, Tom said: "This is just the latest in a string of disappointing leaders. It means seven Prime Ministers in just over ten years."

“People were hopeful that Starmer might offer some stability following the Tory’s have-a-go attitude to the most important job in the country. Instead, we’re left with more churn."

“This time must be different. It can’t just be about changing who’s in Number 10, it must be about changing our broken politics so we can fix our country.”
